TSB 1998 (Based on the original 1991 NES version)
I recently completed the 1998 edition of Tecmo Super Bowl, playing as the Vikings, of course. I went 15-1 (go figure), losing a close game to the Bears mid-season. Tecmo has this weird system known as "Juice Mode" to fans, in which the more you wins you rack up the harder the game becomes. By the end of the season I was barely escaping with a victory.
Here is the finale of my OT thriller with the Tennessee Oilers in Week 17. Notice the white Randall Cunningham.

After a first round bye in the playoffs, I matched up against the Philadelphia Eagles in the Divisional Round. The videos are longer so I have to break them into chunks for efficient YouTube uploads.

My next task was to take out the 49ers in the NFC Championship game. Yikes.

Finally, the Super Bowl!! The Pittsburgh Steelers stood between me and Ultimate Tecmo Glory. It was an EPIC game. Enjoy :)

TSB Greatest Teams (based on the 1993 SNES version)
My next task showed me a new side of Tecmo... the "updated" Super Nintendo edition from 1993. New graphics, animations, play styles, etc. However, I was playing through the All-Time Greats edition created by a gracious Tecmo fan. This version took the single greatest team from every franchise ('98 Vikings, '85 Bears, etc) and matched them up in a battle for the ages. Because the older Tecmo versions only use 28 teams, four teams had to be left out (Lions, Panthers, Jaguars, Texans).
Once again, I was the '98 Vikings, and guess what... I went 15-1! The '86 Giants absolutely destroyed me in Week 10. To make matters worse, the '99 Rams (a team that I easily beat in the regular season) decided to make an example of me in the Divisional Round of the playoffs. I think I lost by 35...
Here's the 2nd Half of my game against the 2008 Arizona Cardinals. What a finish!

After a fierce 2nd Half, the '91 Cowboys take me to OT on a rainy day.

Will the '85 Bears put an end to my winning streak?? Another 2nd Half/OT thriller!

TSB 2007 (based on the 1993 SNES version)
Alright, enough with the '98 Vikings. It's time to get modern. It's time to show off the Vikings' true talent... I'm talkin' 'bout Tarvar, of course. Yep, in this 2007 edition the future Hall of Fame QB Tarvaris Jackson leads a young Vikings team on their quest for the Lombardi Trophy.
It's AP's rookie season... Bobby Wade is my #1 WR... Chester Taylor is still rockin' the purple and gold... and Jared Allen is stirring his pot in Kansas City. Ahhh... nostalgia. Check out some highlights below.

TSB 2010 (based on the 1993 SNES version)
Too soon?? Maybe. But I couldn't resist playing through this edition and possibly rewriting Favre's last season in the NFL. Let's forgot about 2010 for a moment and soak up a great memory from '09. Favre to Lewis... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pgxSzxIxPrY
